14k Gold Fill Bird’s Nest Pearl And Gemstone Necklace

Well that was a quick month!! Well as it’s the last day of the month I thought I would write about my last new product from last year, Yes another wire wrapped piece! Sorry lol,  I have become very fond of making this type of jewellery probably because I’m not to shabby at making it if I do say so myself, It’s only taken an age. So like my last couple of  wire wrapped charm bracelets I thought I would complete the set and make a 14K Gold fill and entwined pearl “Bird’s Nest ” ball charm and eventually turn into a charm bracelet like others at some point but wanted to be a little different with this one and make a necklace with it but I have added a twist by adding a gemstone. Now when I started to wire wrap the Gold wire I did notice a big difference from the sterling silver and Rose gold wire, It’s like trying to wrap a steel bar lol, It’s a lot tougher and the top of my fingers are similar to a tea bag – lots of perforated holes, If you manage to stab yourself  in the finger whilst weaving the wire your going to know about it – It sharp and it hurts and I’ve done it quite often! So with the Nest made with the pearls entwined on it I rummaged through my box of goodies, Now I could do with a maid with regards to this particular corner of the workshop, It’s no joke I look at it and have such good intentions in my head to sort it all out and put everything in its own compartment but I just think its a mental block lol. OK so I find my stash of gemstones and putting different colors against the nest and then I come across these sparkly beauties, Pink Mystic Quartz that I’ve had for a while and had actually forgotten about, That’s what happens when your stash is just piled on top and top and lost to depths of the eerie sweetie tin I keep them in. Now Gold and pink just pop when put together so I just new that this was the one for me, So once attached to the bottom of  nest job done! I love this unique design, I already have a few alternatives in my head but I’ll leave that for another day. So if you like your jewellery unique & sparkling then you can’t go wrong with this necklace. So that’s your lot for Jan and now we move on to the love month, Checkout the website by the way, Lots of Valentine’s goodies to choose from and we have a discount code so don’t be like the rest be an IndiviJewel.

Christmas Is Coming Ho Ho Ho – Personalised Sterling Silver Secret Message Droplet Necklace

So here we are 21 days to go to the big day, I absolutely love Xmas and everything that goes with it, Tradition, Carol singing, Turkey, Puddings, Playing with the kids toys and then falling asleep. The only thing ever missing here in good old blighty is the snow, Well it looks like I’m only going to get this blog started as it’s our local Xmas shopping night here and I’ve been chomping at the bit to get on with a blog for about 2 weeks! Literally haven’t had two minutes all week until now and it is literally two minutes I’m going to get, We have been so busy making new pieces and finally got round to photographing them all with a week of very late nights only for Black Friday to come round and then that was it – Eat  – Sleep – Work – Repeat, Don’t get me wrong I want you guys to buy as much of our stuff as you like other wise I don’t have a job! I think we have managed to get five new products on in the last week so I have plenty to write about just no time to write it. Just had a look at the last blog more time has elapsed then I had thought, Better watch I don’t sleep through Christmas Day! OK so back in from the madness that is a late night Xmas shopping night, Only took a couple of hours! So let’s start with what I’m here for, Our new  personalised sterling silver secret message droplet necklace  We are always trying to expand our secret message range and we came up with a more simple design but nonetheless a cute little charm necklace. We have come to realize that sometimes simple is the best, Not everyone wants something extravagant so this necklace does the job. The dimensions for this droplet are 2.5cm and that’s from the top of the loop to the bottom and is 1cm wide, You get 30 characters and that includes spaces so it’s not the longest piece we have but that was the thought behind the design but as always if you wish to have it bigger then just contact us and we have also given you a few lines of text in the product description to give you a helping hand to start you off if you cannot think of anything. The hardest part of making this droplet was trying to solder the loop on, It can get a little frustrating lets say when it moves by the smallest of movements when everything is lined up and then you think maybe it’s time for an eye test in the new year!  So I hope Black Friday wasn’t to stressful for you all, I have to admit I just dodge it all together I can never make up my mind what I want so best to have nothing I say then all the stress and save my pennies, Can’t go wrong really! Joking aside thanks for those of you who bombarded us with orders on Black Friday we really appreciate your custom, We can make things all day long but it takes you guys to make our business work so thanks. Well that’s that for today well tonight now I hope to be back with another new product shortly so don’t be like the rest be an IndiviJewel.

Personalised Rose Gold & Sterling Silver Heart Bracelet

Sunday Morning, Early Sunday morning to be precise! but that’s what happens when your ” Cherubs” sleep in your bed! I’m still half asleep so apologies if I waffle on a bit until my brain wakes up and starts to write something you may understand. So last week I made some time for myself  to make a bracelet I had thought about for a little while. I had sourced out some sterling silver donut beads a while back but the design I had in my head needed another precious metal then I found these Rose Gold rondelles beads and hey-ho it had the same hole diameter so I could use the sterling silver chain I wanted to instead of elastic which I like but just wanted to do something different and lucky for me the components all worked. Now this bracelet was more of a trail so to speak as the idea in your head doesn’t always look good in the flesh but it came together really well actually a lot better then I ever thought. Now when I normally design jewellery I like to have a very elegant toggle or clasp but because I wanted just the bracelet to stand out I was looking for something a little smaller. I wasn’t actually looking for a magnetic clasp but as Rose Gold goes there is little to choose from then I came across this little beauty! It’s only 5mm but when I attached it on it just worked right away with the design, It looks a bit quirky but I love it, With the bracelet being quite chunky and heavy it’s so quick and easy to flick it round your wrist and let the little magnet do it’s trick, Will definitely be looking to use this one on other designs. When I looked at the bracelet it looked just a tad bare around the clasp area so added one of my favourite charms that I have used on some other pieces, The angel wing and heart charm and I thought it just fitted in as soon as I added it. The personalised heart is one of our designs which we size and cut ourselves and have used on some of our other pieces, It’s just the right size I feel and you can still have quite a bit of text but you only have to contact us if you need one a little bigger. Overall I think this is a really cool bracelet with the Rose Gold rondelles the centre area really pops and the quirkiness of the clasp really blends in with the bracelet as if it’s not even there which was what I was looking to do. I already have a couple of variations in my head so look out for some more goodies, Until the next time – Don’t Be like the rest be an IndiviJewel! Hope this made some sense, I’m on my 3rd cup of tea and I feel I need matchsticks to keep my eyelids open lol.

Sterling Silver Love Hearts Necklace

Brrr! it’s getting a bit chilly now, The days just seem to go really quick at the moment. So busy working on a couple of designs that should be finished soon I hope! But in the meantime we have our new Sterling Silver Love Hearts Necklace to show you all and have a little blog about it. Now this necklace is part of a range we have, We had already made the single heart  and the three heart necklaces. I have no idea why we made them in this order but that’s just us I guess. Anyway,  So we decided on the size of the joined hearts, Just like to point out that because we make our own jewellery we can make the size bigger or smaller if required, OK sales pitch over! So we have our size and not forgetting the shape as we all know hearts come in many shapes, We went for a more traditional one. Once we have cut the heart shape we engrave the two hearts with the initials of the loving couple, Then a  polish, clean and a tumble and bang! there we have it, A beautiful shiny necklace for the lucky girl/women to wear, Well it isn’t that easy for such a small piece a lot of hard work goes into it. The one thing I really like about this heart is that instead of making it with a loop for the necklace to go through we made a simple but very effective decision to just drill a hole at the far upper corner of each heart so that it sits high and visible against your skin. This makes a lovely gift for such occasions as Weddings, Anniversary’s, and Valentine’s Day, Such a sweet and cute necklace that’s very unique which will sure to have people staring at you so don’t get paranoid it’s probably just our lovely necklace! OK so onto the next design, Hopefully you will tune in for the next installment of IndiviJewels or not!

Sterling Silver Coin Pearl Sweetie Bracelet

So here we are again, Monday night or should I say late Monday night in fact its nearly Tuesday probably will be by the time I’ve waffled on and finished this post, The start of another productive week well fingers crossed anyway. Well it was my son’s 4th birthday today and it has been Scooby Doo all day long although  I’m not complaining as I do like the old Scoob cartoons. So now that he’s nodded off I get to do some more work, “Yes” as you can imagine I’m jumping for joy! Who I’m I kidding I love talking about new pieces of jewellery I’ve made and I really love this Sterling Silver Coin Pearl bracelet which due to the design some people call a “Sweetie Bracelet” and to be honest it sure does look good enough to eat I must say. I love designing romantic feminine jewellery and at the end of making this one it made me smile because it turned out better then the image I had in my head. The focal point of this bracelet is a huge 15mm freshwater coin pearl, Very round in shape also very smooth and a vibrant glow to go. Coin pearls of this quality are really hard to find so I had to make something nice with them didn’t I. Around the coin I made a cluster of mixed round freshwater pearls from 2.5mm ones to 5mm, And amongst these I added a few Crystal Quartz rondelles for a little sparkle or two. I love the silver rings we use on our bracelets, Two jump rings soldered together to make a nice and shiny weighty bracelet, It’s nice to be IndiviJewel and different from everyone else who makes similar jewellery with the same components, It just gives it a unique look which is what we are all about. Now the heart toggle I have used lately I think I’m going to use this on quite a few of my designs as it is really good quality, Nice and sturdy and a lovely stand out component on its own. Now when I make bracelets I always like to add something near the toggle, I just think it looks classy and if you use the right component can make your jewellery have a nice contrast like I’ve done with this bracelet. I have used a very beautiful and big grapefruit quartz fat pear, I’m I allowed to say that or will I get told off by the PC brigade, Anyway it breaks the bracelet up and gives it a bit of razzmatazz, No idea why that word popped into my head, Must be watching all those retro cartoons earlier! Now on this bracelet I’ve used a heart charm which I’ve used before and will in the future due to its intricate detail which makes it such a cute little charm which I adore and think everyone else would as well. So that about completes the story of this bracelet, Like my last silver rings bracelet the Angel wing  I will be making necklaces to go with but trying to work on the designs at the moment because these are heavy bracelets if I made the necklaces the same your head would be bouncing off the pavement! Which wouldn’t look classy now would it. Now to look at the bracelet you automatically think wedding but like all the jewellery we design and make we do try to make it so that you can wear it with most things from T-shirt and jeans to business clothes to even a wedding maybe there’s a thought!. The design of this bracelet is to be a stand out piece without being over the top hideous “Look at me” which I think we achieved because when your wearing this your wrist will get looked at and you might even get asked where you got it from so please do tell them!, It’s so much better to see in the flesh this bracelet than the photo’s show, Even though the pics are good it doesn’t do the bracelet justice, It’s one of those where its just so alluring and desirable when looking at it that if you had one you wouldn’t want to take it off, If I was a women I know I wouldn’t! At the end of the day it’s the quality of components that make this bracelet look the way it does, You can have a great design but if you don’t have equally as good materials then it won’t work, All the materials used on this bracelet are really high quality so as you can see by this blog I’m happy so I’m off to bed now, See yer next time if you have a minute or two to spare.

14ct Rose Gold Filled Wire Wrapped Necklace

Well what a right dreary day I woke up to this morning, Typical as I’m just building the kids a playhouse! So today’s big news I see is we are all one big happy Island nation again (Sarcasm) OK so I’m beginning to get my routine back now I have a clear path of where we need to be. So lets waffle on about our new Rose Gold Necklace Now I’ve probably said it numerous times in previous blogs but we have got new design’s for the “Birds Nest” range and we still intend to make them but we have conjured up a alternative style, Something a little different. Now it may appear to be a simple design but until you have tried to hand wrap one its a lot trickier than it looks. OK what is simple is to describe how we made it, So we hand wrapped the Rose Gold into an oval shape but we like to be a bit more dramatic and call it a “Tornado or Whirlwind” shape, Now this necklace is all about the shape because it narrows on both sides you have to be as close as possible or it would just look like spaghetti junction! And that about concludes your lesson on how to make one, Please I know I’m just to good to you all. Rose Gold seems to be the trend at the moment so we thought we would join in too, This being the first design of a few I hope so need to get my pencil and pad out and get cracking with some others. You can checkout all the details for this necklace on the website – The NEW website! I just love it,  Hope everyone else does! So it’s getting late in the afternoon this Friday so for the rest of the day I’m going to finish a new sterling silver rings and pearl bracelet which I’ll waffle on about another day so if your bored silly one day come and have a read of my drivel. Personalised Sterling Silver Teardrop Necklace

So onto our new necklace, We have been thinking hard to what we could add to our secrets range, something different, something new and exciting, something unique that’s how we like to roll – being different! So out of the ideas we had written down we decided on the Teardrop! I know the teardrop is not new but tears are used everyday in real life for a variation of reasons, Laughter, Joy, Love, Saddness so we thought that a tear is just as meaningful as a heart so we thought for the first addition to the secrets range we thought this went hand in hand with the secret heart range. Now to start with we cut out the length of sterling silver we needed for this one with the text we were going to use but like the secret heart you can have it smaller or bigger depending on the size of your text. So the next step was to etch the text onto the silver which if any of you know takes a little time but well worth it for the results. Now the next bit is the tricky part, Trying to shape it! I have a little scrap heap pile going on in the workshop. Now it may look a simple shape but it does take a little bit of time to achive this especially as its all made by hand, Any little wrong bend takes the whole piece go off course and it’s start again to which I have the evidence on my work bench. Doesn’t help when you have no patience like me and try to rush things! Once the shape is right the next step is to solder the two ends together which again sounds simple but what you don’t want to happen is for the solder to drop off and go in your text as this also adds to the scrap pile, Yes this also happened! but like the old saying goes you learn by your mistakes. As you can see by the picture we soldered it a fair way down the design just before the bend comes into play and there is two reasons for this. The first is that it gives it a lot more solid look from the top of the teardrop to make it more visual and basically gives it more definition and a more tear like shape. The second point is you need the soldered ends to be very solid so when you drill your hole for the chain it will not come apart – very important lol. Now the hole is a simple part to this necklace but it’s where you drill it that makes the difference, We could have drilled it right at the top so it gives it a longer look but we thought it looked best drilled half way down the join, Just gives it a more classy look with the top of the drop above the snake chain. The last two steps are to give it a damm good hand polish and bung it in the tumbler for an hour or so and there you have it a Personalised sterling silver teardrop shaped necklace. Now on to the next piece!

Angel Wing & Pearl Earrings

Well the first post of the new year so a belated “HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL”  We only started back yesterday after a couple of weeks off and with all the bad weather and not being able to get out, Having the kids off for two weeks felt like two months! lol  Come on you all felt the same! Wanted to get off to a good start as soon possible and just realised the last blog was on the 7th December, Wow seriously where does time go? Hope you all had a lovely Christmas, Actually I’m glad to be back at work as we stopped at the wrong time when things were just flowing nicely and now after the break its a bit of a struggle to get the throttles on full again but due to the backlog of orders from last year we have no choice which is good as it gives me that little push we all need going into a new year to which I’m really looking forward to. We should get our new packaging next week which looks fab well it does on the computer (fingers crossed) so another job marked off  last years list! This years list is all about making things – WOOHOO and then we obviously have to try and sell them! Yet this list already looks longer than last years and its only the second day back. Ok I wanted to blog about these Angel wing & Pearl earrings that we made last year and done us proud over the Christmas period, A simple design but look fantastic due to the AAA  white/creamy round pearls we use which make them look so elegant, Thinking about making a personalised version but need to see if it looks right and also that its right for IndiviJewels, Sometimes you can over do personalised jewellery to the point of it looking tacky and cheap. Anyway back to these earrings which I just love, Well I would say that as it was me who designed and made them! Like I said a simple piece but one that has a standout look without being bulky and have that “I want to be noticed desperately” tag on them. The Angel wing is Sterling silver and the Pearls we use are 8mm, Great size and great looking pearls with a lovely creamy colour to them and the ear stud is a ball design which is 5mm. We could have put a bigger ball stud on but we wanted the main features to stand out which I think we managed to acheive. The good point I like about these earrings is although your first thought is “Wedding” these earrings can be used for everyday wear which is what we try to do at IndiviJewels unless we actually make a piece for a specific occasion. OK so good start to the new year blogging, I just have to keep it going hopfully at least once a week. Right back to work!

Personalised Tie shaped Tie Slide

“Tis the season to be jolly la la la la la la” So who is in the Christmas spirit and who is feeling like a good old Scroooge? This is the best time of the year for me I just love it! It’s been a busy old couple of weeks as the orders pile up and I can’t believe the amount of orders on this website considering we haven’t kept it upto date as it should have been as we have been looking to get a new website for the last 18 months and just basically neglected it. Anyway our new personalised Tie slide is a completely new product from us but we are very pleased with it and sales are good so maybe next year if we get some time on it I would like to try making some new ones with different shapes but that’s for another day. We offer this tie slide in two fonts currently but when we get a little more time will add some more fonts as well as a signature one. I think I have already mentioned to death in previous blogs that we offer this as part of a set but nothing like talking up your own products so if you missed the last couple of blogs then here’s the link again lol, Personalised Tie shaped Tie collar siffeners and here is the personalised Tie shaped Tie cufflinks.  Ok enough of boring you to sleep with this range and hopefully have something a little more exciting to show you next time. Right I’m off to finish the rest of Christmas decorations.

Personalised 2013 Christmas Golf Ball Markers

Well here we are! Sunday morning still half asleep, Kids playing on the Wii and I’m writing another action packed blog LOL. We have been making our unique and exclusive personalised 2013 Christmas Golf ball markers for the last two years and this is our 2013 edition which we think are the best to date. I would love to make myself one of these but fortunately for other Golfers I couldn’t hit a golf ball for toffee as the saying goes!  As most of us know Golf is a hugely popular game world wide for men and women so there is a big market for Golf accessories. We didn’t really think they would sell the way they have but we actually love making them and they sell really well. We are constantly designing new ones and trying to push the limits of what you can put on a small disc. They make lovely little gifts with that personal touch so everytime golfers use them the thoughts of that person/persons come to the fore front, Weather it be from the kids, Wife, Girlfriend, And so on. As you can see in the photo we have given you a choice of three designs. We have one with small children’s writing font, A second font which is also a child’s font but for the older kids and a third one which is more of an adult font for adults to give to other adults. So if you can’t find your loved one a special little gift you won’t go wrong with our novelty markers with that personal touch.  Just for some other IndiviJewels news we have moved into our new workshop so really looking forward to next year as we have tons of new designs to make as we haven’t made that much this year due to making sure the company had a good structure so lots of  behind the scene stuff going on which is nearly over! Just waiting for the new website and on to bigger and better things.
