So here we are 21 days to go to the big day, I absolutely love Xmas and everything that goes with it, Tradition, Carol singing, Turkey, Puddings, Playing with the kids toys and then falling asleep. The only thing ever missing here in good old blighty is the snow, Well it looks like I’m only going to get this blog started as it’s our local Xmas shopping night here and I’ve been chomping at the bit to get on with a blog for about 2 weeks! Literally haven’t had two minutes all week until now and it is literally two minutes I’m going to get, We have been so busy making new pieces and finally got round to photographing them all with a week of very late nights only for Black Friday to come round and then that was it – Eat  – Sleep – Work – Repeat, Don’t get me wrong I want you guys to buy as much of our stuff as you like other wise I don’t have a job! I think we have managed to get five new products on in the last week so I have plenty to write about just no time to write it. Just had a look at the last blog more time has elapsed then I had thought, Better watch I don’t sleep through Christmas Day! OK so back in from the madness that is a late night Xmas shopping night, Only took a couple of hours! So let’s start with what I’m here for, Our new  personalised sterling silver secret message droplet necklace  We are always trying to expand our secret message range and we came up with a more simple design but nonetheless a cute little charm necklace. We have come to realize that sometimes simple is the best, Not everyone wants something extravagant so this necklace does the job. The dimensions for this droplet are 2.5cm and that’s from the top of the loop to the bottom and is 1cm wide, You get 30 characters and that includes spaces so it’s not the longest piece we have but that was the thought behind the design but as always if you wish to have it bigger then just contact us and we have also given you a few lines of text in the product description to give you a helping hand to start you off if you cannot think of anything. The hardest part of making this droplet was trying to solder the loop on, It can get a little frustrating lets say when it moves by the smallest of movements when everything is lined up and then you think maybe it’s time for an eye test in the new year!  So I hope Black Friday wasn’t to stressful for you all, I have to admit I just dodge it all together I can never make up my mind what I want so best to have nothing I say then all the stress and save my pennies, Can’t go wrong really! Joking aside thanks for those of you who bombarded us with orders on Black Friday we really appreciate your custom, We can make things all day long but it takes you guys to make our business work so thanks. Now it feels like Summer! This week has been lovely, Could really get used to weather like this shame it won’t last. As the weather has been fantastic not much has been achieved by way of work but on the bright side four down and three to go, Yes that’s right I’m on about weeks and how long my charming cherubs have left before the dreaded return to school, come on most of you are counting down just like me. While the kids are destroying the house and garden over the holidays I have locked myself in the work shop and designed and made a new addition to our “Bird’s Nest” range which I kinda like, wasn’t sure how the idea in my head would look in the flesh but it’s even better than I imagined. I’m now in the thought process of designing an entire range based on these three little entwined balls. With the good weather comes the weddings and if any brides are looking for something a little unique then this is definitely one to check out, There will be a matching necklace at some point didn’t quite get round to that as it was a late one when I made the bracelet. The pearls are amazing when in natural light which can sometimes be a problem when just looking at a photo as it doesn’t always give you that true reflection of their quality. The pearls are graded AA+ and I have added a new spacer in between them that I have sourced out, I always like to have a space in between the pearls on my work I just think it looks classy. This spacer is a 3mm donut yes that’s right a donut!  and it fits round the pearls like a glove and improves the design which is always what I try to do f possible with all our work. There is nothing better than using real quality components when designing jewellery that’s why we pride ourselves on using quality materials. So I then used 20 inches of each of the following, Rose gold, 14k Gold fill and sterling silver 0.5 wire to make the balls which did take a few attempts as it can be a little tricky to get the start right as you don’t have a lot to play with and sometimes it ended up like an American football. All three “Bird’s Nest” hang from a beautiful solid and chunky charm carrier, The carrier itself is very elegantly designed so it really fits with all of my designs but especially when working with pearls. I like the components I use to all be in proportion so the overall design of my work looks correct and this can be tricky when using multiple materials which can be time consuming but I lucked out on this one! so I was very happen with the toggle I used to finish the design off, Very solid and chunky looking  just like the charm carrier and fitted really well with it and it just made the bracelet come together which made me happy because I really don’t like trolling through website after website looking for materials especially as I have no patience and want to finish my work quickly lol. This bracelet is a unique design and can be worn for everyday use but obviously does and will be thought of as a wedding /Bridal piece but it’s very elegant and well made so I’m more than happy with it lets hope everyone else does too. OK so on to the next design, Right best get back to the little people and see if one still has a house to live in. so don’t be like the rest be an IndiviJewel! Yes still loving the cheesy tag line.

Well long time since I was last on! Unfortunately we have had a couple of major illnesses in the family one of which was my partner in the company who just happens to be my wife. Not to go into to much detail but she had to have a big operation so we have been running on autopilot with the business for the last couple of months but things slowly but surely getting back on track. So woke up this morning looking to stuck into work and then the two cherubs come down stairs both ill! Lovely, although it does give me the chance to do some work on the computer, As they say everything for a reason! Like I said not much happening with new stuff, You know me I have about 30 half finished projects on the go although these last couple of months have giving me the chance to sit down and think of some exciting and unique designs, Now weather they will work or not I’m not to sure lol. So on to our personalised name charms, Now this isn’t a new product as such well I suppose it is thinking about it in away, One of our bestselling products is our name charm necklace but over time we have had numerous requests if we just sell the charms on there own, Now it was one of those jobs you think to yourself yer no problem we could do that quickly well didn’t quite work out that way but now it’s finally done, That’s one job crossed off the list! So what we offer on this is the oval charm which you can have text on the front and back if you wish, You can have it blackened or just left natural silvery white. Now the charm comes with a standard 6mm jump ring but we have added the option of a couple of charm holders to make it a little more elegant when adding to your existing  jewellery so you can wear it with your pandora bracelet if you wish or jewellery of that nature. OK so that’s about it for now, Back to work well probably not I will have to look after the two poorly cherubs who just asked if they could play the PS4!

Well here we are at our new home, Its been some journey but here at last can’t tell you how glad to have this off our work load! We can get to work filling the site with our new pieces of jewellery. We had a big input into how it turned out and are very happy and very pleased with the end product, We wanted it to be vintage in its looks but have some life to It, Like a new retro – Vibrant, Colourful but at the same time it still has the vintage look and feel to it which we were looking for. Now comes the hard and boring part moving across all our products and having to photograph new pictures for this website! We hope our customers have a great experience looking on the new IndiviJewels and its ease of use. So here’s a big thanks to Peter at c2  for having the patience in dealing with us. Now for our first post about what we have made I would like to add this love story, We had a customer from Australia contact us about making her partner a pair of initial oval cufflinks. The story behind it goes like this – They met in Europe but only after they had bumped into each other in three cities – London, Lucerne and Mykonos without actually realizing it until they met afterwards. We were chosen to make a treasured keepsake for the man in her life to remember those days with an anniversary gift. We hope when he puts them on he smiles and remembers the happy memories. We just love the stories behind our jewellery because its not just a business for us its about your stories.
