Handmade Silver Personalised Name Charms Necklace with Birthstones. A gorgeous gift for Mum! Three (or more) sterling silver oval charms etched with the names of your children and Swarovski crystals in their birthstone colours. The charms are strung on a sterling silver chain which is available in 16" , 18" or 20" lengths. The oval charms are approximately 19mm long and 10mm wide.
Various fonts can be used for the etching and examples of two are shown so you can choose from the Olivia Font or Harry Font, or there is another one that you would like, just let us know and we will let you know if it can be done. You can have all name charms etched using the same font or with different fonts as shown on the example. The birthstone crystals are optional, so if you would prefer not to have them just choose the relevant option from the drop down box. Crystals in birthstone colours will be used for all months except June, where a white freshwater pearl will be used instead .
We make these necklaces by hand and often get asked how they are done so a brief insight into the process is as follows. The silver oval which measures approximately 19mm x 10mm is hand pierced from 1mm thick sterling silver sheet so it has a nice weight to it. The printed name is then transferred to the silver using special paper and the silver is then placed in an acid solution where the exposed areas are etched away resulting in lovely deep and crisp letters. The silver oval is then cleaned and polished by hand and finally given a fine satin finish.
