We make these handmade silver personalised name necklaces by hand and often get asked how they are done so a brief insight into the process is as follows. The silver oval which measures approximately 19mm x 10mm is hand pierced from 1mm thick sterling silver sheet so it has a nice weight to it. The printed name is then transferred to the silver using special paper and the silver is then placed in an acid solution where the exposed areas are etched away resulting in lovely deep and crisp letters. The silver oval is then cleaned and polished by hand and finally given a frosted satin finish.
