A sterling silver oval charm etched with the name of someone special and complimented with a sterling silver or gold vermeil (sterling silver coated in 24kt gold) heart and a genuine gemstone birthstone.  The charms are strung on a sterling silver chain which is available in various lengths.  The oval charm is approximately 19mm long and 10mm wide.

This necklace makes a wonderful gift for Mum to celebrate the birth of a new baby but is also great for Birthday's, Mother's Day and other special occasions.  Although it is popular to have the names of your children, this necklace can also be etched with Mum, Sister, Niece etc.

Various fonts can be used for the etching and examples of two are shown so you can choose from the Olivia Font or Harry Font, or there is another one that you would like, just let us know and we will let you know if it can be done. The birthstone gemstone is optional, so if you would prefer not to have one, just choose the relevant option from the drop down box. 

We make these necklaces by hand and often get asked how they are done so a brief insight into the process is as follows.  The silver oval which measures approximately 19mm x 10mm is hand pierced from 1mm thick sterling silver sheet so it has a nice weight to it.  The printed name is then transferred to the silver using special paper and the silver is then placed in an acid solution where the exposed areas are etched away resulting in lovely deep and crisp letters.  The silver disc is then cleaned, sanded, drilled and polished by hand.
