Now it feels like Summer! This week has been lovely, Could really get used to weather like this shame it won’t last. As the weather has been fantastic not much has been achieved by way of work but on the bright side four down and three to go, Yes that’s right I’m on about weeks and how long my charming cherubs have left before the dreaded return to school, come on most of you are counting down just like me. While the kids are destroying the house and garden over the holidays I have locked myself in the work shop and designed and made a new addition to our “Bird’s Nest” range which I kinda like, wasn’t sure how the idea in my head would look in the flesh but it’s even better than I imagined. I’m now in the thought process of designing an entire range based on these three little entwined balls. With the good weather comes the weddings and if any brides are looking for something a little unique then this is definitely one to check out, There will be a matching necklace at some point didn’t quite get round to that as it was a late one when I made the bracelet. The pearls are amazing when in natural light which can sometimes be a problem when just looking at a photo as it doesn’t always give you that true reflection of their quality. The pearls are graded AA+ and I have added a new spacer in between them that I have sourced out, I always like to have a space in between the pearls on my work I just think it looks classy. This spacer is a 3mm donut yes that’s right a donut!  and it fits round the pearls like a glove and improves the design which is always what I try to do f possible with all our work. There is nothing better than using real quality components when designing jewellery that’s why we pride ourselves on using quality materials. So I then used 20 inches of each of the following, Rose gold, 14k Gold fill and sterling silver 0.5 wire to make the balls which did take a few attempts as it can be a little tricky to get the start right as you don’t have a lot to play with and sometimes it ended up like an American football. All three “Bird’s Nest” hang from a beautiful solid and chunky charm carrier, The carrier itself is very elegantly designed so it really fits with all of my designs but especially when working with pearls. I like the components I use to all be in proportion so the overall design of my work looks correct and this can be tricky when using multiple materials which can be time consuming but I lucked out on this one! so I was very happen with the toggle I used to finish the design off, Very solid and chunky looking  just like the charm carrier and fitted really well with it and it just made the bracelet come together which made me happy because I really don’t like trolling through website after website looking for materials especially as I have no patience and want to finish my work quickly lol. This bracelet is a unique design and can be worn for everyday use but obviously does and will be thought of as a wedding /Bridal piece but it’s very elegant and well made so I’m more than happy with it lets hope everyone else does too. OK so on to the next design, Right best get back to the little people and see if one still has a house to live in. so don’t be like the rest be an IndiviJewel! Yes still loving the cheesy tag line.

Well long time since I was last on! Unfortunately we have had a couple of major illnesses in the family one of which was my partner in the company who just happens to be my wife. Not to go into to much detail but she had to have a big operation so we have been running on autopilot with the business for the last couple of months but things slowly but surely getting back on track. So woke up this morning looking to stuck into work and then the two cherubs come down stairs both ill! Lovely, although it does give me the chance to do some work on the computer, As they say everything for a reason! Like I said not much happening with new stuff, You know me I have about 30 half finished projects on the go although these last couple of months have giving me the chance to sit down and think of some exciting and unique designs, Now weather they will work or not I’m not to sure lol. So on to our personalised name charms, Now this isn’t a new product as such well I suppose it is thinking about it in away, One of our bestselling products is our name charm necklace but over time we have had numerous requests if we just sell the charms on there own, Now it was one of those jobs you think to yourself yer no problem we could do that quickly well didn’t quite work out that way but now it’s finally done, That’s one job crossed off the list! So what we offer on this is the oval charm which you can have text on the front and back if you wish, You can have it blackened or just left natural silvery white. Now the charm comes with a standard 6mm jump ring but we have added the option of a couple of charm holders to make it a little more elegant when adding to your existing  jewellery so you can wear it with your pandora bracelet if you wish or jewellery of that nature. OK so that’s about it for now, Back to work well probably not I will have to look after the two poorly cherubs who just asked if they could play the PS4!

Afternoon people! Told you I would be back soon with another exciting never to be missed blog so here I’am WooHoo. Well It’s the middle of the week when everyone goes “Argh” but not me I love my job! Well where are we? Well I seem to be on a roll at the moment with making new designs, The only problem now is the weather! I like to take my photo’s out in the natural light but it sure has been blustery these last few days, Just as I thought the weather was changing for the better with March coming round it strikes back and bites you in the you know what. Well a little while ago we made a new necklace, The “Entwined” necklace which we made with Rose gold, Gold fill and sterling silver well it’s become a real hit with you girls and sales have been great so due to those facts we decided to make matching earrings! It’s the same principle but we have added them onto some beautiful hoop earrings which I think you all would agree look fab. I love the fact we have mixed precious metals together, It just looks so striking and unique which is what we try to do, Give you something different. So hopefully you folks will like these earrings just as much as the necklace and keep us in business lol.  As you can see in the photographs the hoops are a lovely thick size and the diameter of them is 25mm so will definitely catch your eye. The actual bead is carefully hand weaved and woven by me or my wife so like all our work it is made to order but if you want a matching pair best get them from my wife! Only joking my weaving skills are above and beyond (nothing like blowing your own trumpet) as you can see in the photo’s. Welcome to another edition of IndiviJewels! March already! Can you believe it! Me neither, Weathers beginning to change, Bird’s are tweeting around the workshop. Hopefully the gloom of winter is about to depart us and bring us some long hot sunny days to bring a smile to our faces, No harm in closing your eyes and dreaming lol  So its been a busy last couple of weeks, Managed to design and make a few pieces. One of those pieces is our new addition to the “Bird’s Nest” collection, Now I can’t tell you how many designs we have for this collection but its a few lets just say and finally got round to making one of them. So without further ado here are our Dangle Bird’s Nest earrings, Lovely and elegant and unique to us for you! So to start with we used some 0.5 silver wire to hand wrap our “Bird’s Nest” ball, We then hung the nest from sterling silver chain which is attached to a sterling silver ball stud to keep with the flow of the design. I love this design, All the components really fit and give it a sleek and flowing look, Simple but very classy to which it can be used for any occasion and everyday wear. Just by writing this blog I have already thought of a couple more ideas just for this design, That’s what I love about designing one thing you see so many more variations of it, Best add those to the list and you might see them in a blog at some point in the future. Welcome Back! Or should I say “bon retour parmi nous” That’s right just give it another week or so and I might actually have a sentence or two for you! Well the day has been and gone yes that’s right I’m talking about Valentine’s Day. All of us guys are letting out a big sigh of relief, come on now admit it your glad it’s only one day and it’s over with, Well for another year anyway lol. So where are we, Well it’s half term again! So having to entertain the little people, Well that’s why we have Xmas so Santa can bring them a playstation I guess, So just jumping on the computer for a bit just for you guys. Well it only seems like 5 minutes since the little people were last off, Did I ever get this amount of holidays when I was a little person? So enough with the waffle I hear you say, So I’m here to inform you about our new sterling silver heart and gold filled infinity necklace which is a lovely handcrafted piece of jewellery made by us for you. As you can see it has great meaning with the shapes used and would make a lovely gift for someone you hold dear to your heart. So first of all we make the infinity symbol from either 14k Gold fill or Rose gold, This can go wrong very quickly due to this necklace being about bends and it did drive me round a few while trying to make it! It may look simple but believe me it can be a trifle difficult as you have to get all your bends smooth and in the right place. Once we have this nice and correct and not forgetting equal then solder it together. Then take your sterling silver wire and start to make the heart but before you bend the top parts fit the infinity symbol till it sits against the silver making sure its straight and then you can finish the top bends of the heart, once your happy it’s all straight and smooth in the bends then solder the middle of the heart together and Bing Bong Boo you have yourself a unique lovey- dovey necklace, Well we do! Shall have to add it to the BJA copywrite office lol. So after the hard work of cleaning, Polishing and then taking some photo’s of course and then not forgetting the actual process of making it as well which now I think about it, It’s a little bit harder than I make out!. So now that we have deduced that lets move on! Once made we decided not to solder a loop in the center of the heart but instead thought we would like to hang it by jump rings which makes the difference to the overall look. Now we love using this belcher chain which we have used on this necklace and others, Basically because it’s gives the delicate look but it’s very strong. So overall we love this piece and we hope you guys will to. Join us next time when I’m not quite sure what I will be blogging about but I’m sure it will be another IndiviJewel! So here we are again, Happy New year to you all, little bit late to say the least I know but it’s the thought that counts right? Well With the end of January already here upon us we have a lot of new products in the pipeline and some ready to go. So here we have our new personalised  bar necklace to tell you all about.  For such a simple design it’s also a very modern, minimalist and elegant one. As you can see in the photo’s you can have a lot of variation with regards to the text and layout, also this type of design is great for personalisation as you have a bit of room front and back for the text or images.  So on this particular piece we went for a sleek shape which is cut from a  nice thick 1.2mm sterling silver sheet and we have used a standard size and shape but we can alter this if anyone wants to have something a little different  just email or phone us or maybe even a carrier pigeon if you wish!  As you can see we have used different fonts and types of text you can have so potential customers have an idea of what they can add, No stone left unturned here to help you guys decide what you need. As well as the horizontal design we have also given the choice to have it vertical  (Yes I know we are just to good to you guys) which gives a whole different look to the same shaped piece. Both the necklaces are hanging from a lovely sterling silver belcher chain, Very strong but gives it that subtle look to keep in with the design. This necklace is one of those pieces that never goes out of fashion no matter what decade you like to be in so it’s great for any occasion. Sunday morning! What a cold rainy and basically a typical British miserable winter day, Kids are clued to the ipad’s watching Minecraft on youtube, Yes I know what your thinking but what can you do! It would be funny but one of them is mine which I haven’t seen since the start of last week! Really looking forward to tonight as we are off to the O2 in Birmingham to watch “The Gaslight Anthem” That’s a rock band for those of you who are wondering!  OK so our Secret Heart necklace is one of our bestsellers and we have been eager to add to the range so now we have finally got round to making one of the designs we had down on paper. So we came up with an elegant and vibrant Secret Heart and Pearl necklace  which again just looks dreamy when you look at it and even better in the flesh. I love this necklace, The pearls are great quality (AA graded) and that’s what makes this necklace, The quality look and the components we use to make it, Another standout piece from us if I do say so. Now on this piece we are only offering the small and medium heart to personalise as the pearls are approx 7mm and the large heart doesn’t quite look right with the size of the pearls, We will have the large heart available when  I can source some quality 8mm maybe 9mm pearls. So with all my pearl designs I use sterling silver rondelle spacers in between the pearls which again I have used on this one, It just makes it more classy and elegant, I can honestly say I cringe when I see pearl jewellery with no spacers. It just looks so wrong! So to finish the necklace off I have used my favourite toggle at the moment which is the heart toggle,  And hey-ho we have a beautiful treasured keepsake necklace. So work is starting to get busy now with Christmas round the corner and I must just say this personalised secret heart and pearl necklace would make a truly special gift for Xmas because what it can offer the customer and the recipient. OK so sales pitch over now! OK so two posts in two days, Whats going on I hear you say! Well I’m at home today as the little one doesn’t go nursery on Wednesdays so while he’s playing Scooby Doo I thought I would grab my chance to jump on the computer and do a little much needed work as ever. Now I very much doubt I will finish this post today but here’s hoping. Now another new product we have recently made is our range of personalised charm necklaces for girls, This has been on our to do list for some time so we are very relieved to have it finished and just in time for Xmas. For those of you that don’t no we now have the tools to make our own shapes now so they can be unique to us to which we think will help us grow the business as we become even more unique to potential customers. So for our first batch of shapes we went for the more well known ones, Heart, Star, Flower, Angel Wing and a butterfly but I do have a few more I would like to make but lets just concentrate on these ones, I do have a tendency to think to far ahead! So once we had decided on the shapes of these charms we cut them out and personalised them with an initial, added a sterling silver belcher chain and hey-ho a lovely cute personalised girls necklace which makes a lovely gift for numerous occasions such as Birthdays,Weddings, And christenings. We have also given you the option of adding a beautiful gemstone, Yes that’s right a real graded gemstone not some awful looking bead that you see elsewhere to add to the quality and the overall elegance of the necklace because that’s how we like to roll lol. Now as usual it’s not as easy as that a lot of hard work goes on before we send them out such as the hand polishing of these small charms which isn’t easy as some of you will know. I’m just in the process of making pearl necklaces with these charms, It’s amazing how many ideas you can make out of one design but they will be for another day. OK so it has only taken me a few hours to write these few words! But I’m happy I got it finished today lol so I’m off to play Indiana Jones with the little one, Till the next blog.

Well here we are again! I actually started writing this blog a couple of weeks ago when the kids were off on half term but that’s what happens when the kids are off, Yes that’s right nothing!, Although we did have a great super Mario games week but the blog got well forgotten. Right so onto our new product, This is new ground for us as this is our first necklace for men and its even personalised!  Making  jewellery for guys is really difficult, it just is, I should know I  am one.  Well I love wearing mine and I like to think I have good taste in fashion in general so I like to think a few others will share my views and maybe buy one.   We really wanted to design something a little different from the rest, so the Personalized Secret Message Triangle was born! Now it starts off the same as the Secret Heart and the Teardrop necklaces in that we etch the text onto sterling silver sheet which is 0.7mm thick and cut it out and then the hard work begins! We firstly have to drill the holes and then shape the silver into a triangle, we can sometimes be easier said than done as if you don’t get the measurements and bends accurate the first time round, you can end up with a rather wonky triangle!  So once it’s a nice even, straight triangle shape, we solder the ends and then file them to make the join invisible.  Then onto the rather boring, but critical, filing and hand polishing to achieve  a beautiful shine and then into the tumbler for a few hours to harden it up.  Again it may look and sound simple but a lot of time and hard work goes into making one of these fine necklaces. It actually gets better as you have ten fonts yes that’s right ten fonts to choose from. So if your looking for a unique present this Christmas for the man in your life then why not give them a wonderful personal keepsake. Oh nearly forgot you can have it on Greek leather cord or a sterling silver chain. One last thing as it’s Remembrance Day Indivijewels would like to pay respect to all those fine men and women who give the ultimate sacrifice in the last 100 years “Lest We Forget” I can feel another blog coming in the not so distant future so check us out if you can spare a moment or two on our journey.

Brrr! it’s getting a bit chilly now, The days just seem to go really quick at the moment. So busy working on a couple of designs that should be finished soon I hope! But in the meantime we have our new Sterling Silver Love Hearts Necklace to show you all and have a little blog about it. Now this necklace is part of a range we have, We had already made the single heart  and the three heart necklaces. I have no idea why we made them in this order but that’s just us I guess. Anyway,  So we decided on the size of the joined hearts, Just like to point out that because we make our own jewellery we can make the size bigger or smaller if required, OK sales pitch over! So we have our size and not forgetting the shape as we all know hearts come in many shapes, We went for a more traditional one. Once we have cut the heart shape we engrave the two hearts with the initials of the loving couple, Then a  polish, clean and a tumble and bang! there we have it, A beautiful shiny necklace for the lucky girl/women to wear, Well it isn’t that easy for such a small piece a lot of hard work goes into it. The one thing I really like about this heart is that instead of making it with a loop for the necklace to go through we made a simple but very effective decision to just drill a hole at the far upper corner of each heart so that it sits high and visible against your skin. This makes a lovely gift for such occasions as Weddings, Anniversary’s, and Valentine’s Day, Such a sweet and cute necklace that’s very unique which will sure to have people staring at you so don’t get paranoid it’s probably just our lovely necklace!
