Welcome Back! Or should I say “bon retour parmi nous” That’s right just give it another week or so and I might actually have a sentence or two for you! Well the day has been and gone yes that’s right I’m talking about Valentine’s Day. All of us guys are letting out a big sigh of relief, come on now admit it your glad it’s only one day and it’s over with, Well for another year anyway lol. So where are we, Well it’s half term again! So having to entertain the little people, Well that’s why we have Xmas so Santa can bring them a playstation I guess, So just jumping on the computer for a bit just for you guys. Well it only seems like 5 minutes since the little people were last off, Did I ever get this amount of holidays when I was a little person? So enough with the waffle I hear you say, So I’m here to inform you about our new sterling silver heart and gold filled infinity necklace which is a lovely handcrafted piece of jewellery made by us for you. As you can see it has great meaning with the shapes used and would make a lovely gift for someone you hold dear to your heart. So first of all we make the infinity symbol from either 14k Gold fill or Rose gold, This can go wrong very quickly due to this necklace being about bends and it did drive me round a few while trying to make it! It may look simple but believe me it can be a trifle difficult as you have to get all your bends smooth and in the right place. Once we have this nice and correct and not forgetting equal then solder it together. Then take your sterling silver wire and start to make the heart but before you bend the top parts fit the infinity symbol till it sits against the silver making sure its straight and then you can finish the top bends of the heart, once your happy it’s all straight and smooth in the bends then solder the middle of the heart together and Bing Bong Boo you have yourself a unique lovey- dovey necklace, Well we do! Shall have to add it to the BJA copywrite office lol. So after the hard work of cleaning, Polishing and then taking some photo’s of course and then not forgetting the actual process of making it as well which now I think about it, It’s a little bit harder than I make out!. So now that we have deduced that lets move on! Once made we decided not to solder a loop in the center of the heart but instead thought we would like to hang it by jump rings which makes the difference to the overall look. Now we love using this belcher chain which we have used on this necklace and others, Basically because it’s gives the delicate look but it’s very strong. So overall we love this piece and we hope you guys will to. Join us next time when I’m not quite sure what I will be blogging about but I’m sure it will be another IndiviJewel! So here we are again, Happy New year to you all, little bit late to say the least I know but it’s the thought that counts right? Well With the end of January already here upon us we have a lot of new products in the pipeline and some ready to go. So here we have our new personalised  bar necklace to tell you all about.  For such a simple design it’s also a very modern, minimalist and elegant one. As you can see in the photo’s you can have a lot of variation with regards to the text and layout, also this type of design is great for personalisation as you have a bit of room front and back for the text or images.  So on this particular piece we went for a sleek shape which is cut from a  nice thick 1.2mm sterling silver sheet and we have used a standard size and shape but we can alter this if anyone wants to have something a little different  just email or phone us or maybe even a carrier pigeon if you wish!  As you can see we have used different fonts and types of text you can have so potential customers have an idea of what they can add, No stone left unturned here to help you guys decide what you need. As well as the horizontal design we have also given the choice to have it vertical  (Yes I know we are just to good to you guys) which gives a whole different look to the same shaped piece. Both the necklaces are hanging from a lovely sterling silver belcher chain, Very strong but gives it that subtle look to keep in with the design. This necklace is one of those pieces that never goes out of fashion no matter what decade you like to be in so it’s great for any occasion. Sunday morning! What a cold rainy and basically a typical British miserable winter day, Kids are clued to the ipad’s watching Minecraft on youtube, Yes I know what your thinking but what can you do! It would be funny but one of them is mine which I haven’t seen since the start of last week! Really looking forward to tonight as we are off to the O2 in Birmingham to watch “The Gaslight Anthem” That’s a rock band for those of you who are wondering!  OK so our Secret Heart necklace is one of our bestsellers and we have been eager to add to the range so now we have finally got round to making one of the designs we had down on paper. So we came up with an elegant and vibrant Secret Heart and Pearl necklace  which again just looks dreamy when you look at it and even better in the flesh. I love this necklace, The pearls are great quality (AA graded) and that’s what makes this necklace, The quality look and the components we use to make it, Another standout piece from us if I do say so. Now on this piece we are only offering the small and medium heart to personalise as the pearls are approx 7mm and the large heart doesn’t quite look right with the size of the pearls, We will have the large heart available when  I can source some quality 8mm maybe 9mm pearls. So with all my pearl designs I use sterling silver rondelle spacers in between the pearls which again I have used on this one, It just makes it more classy and elegant, I can honestly say I cringe when I see pearl jewellery with no spacers. It just looks so wrong! So to finish the necklace off I have used my favourite toggle at the moment which is the heart toggle,  And hey-ho we have a beautiful treasured keepsake necklace. So work is starting to get busy now with Christmas round the corner and I must just say this personalised secret heart and pearl necklace would make a truly special gift for Xmas because what it can offer the customer and the recipient. OK so two posts in two days, Whats going on I hear you say! Well I’m at home today as the little one doesn’t go nursery on Wednesdays so while he’s playing Scooby Doo I thought I would grab my chance to jump on the computer and do a little much needed work as ever. Now I very much doubt I will finish this post today but here’s hoping. Now another new product we have recently made is our range of personalised charm necklaces for girls, This has been on our to do list for some time so we are very relieved to have it finished and just in time for Xmas. For those of you that don’t no we now have the tools to make our own shapes now so they can be unique to us to which we think will help us grow the business as we become even more unique to potential customers. So for our first batch of shapes we went for the more well known ones, Heart, Star, Flower, Angel Wing and a butterfly but I do have a few more I would like to make but lets just concentrate on these ones, I do have a tendency to think to far ahead! So once we had decided on the shapes of these charms we cut them out and personalised them with an initial, added a sterling silver belcher chain and hey-ho a lovely cute personalised girls necklace which makes a lovely gift for numerous occasions such as Birthdays,Weddings, And christenings. We have also given you the option of adding a beautiful gemstone, Yes that’s right a real graded gemstone not some awful looking bead that you see elsewhere to add to the quality and the overall elegance of the necklace because that’s how we like to roll lol. Now as usual it’s not as easy as that a lot of hard work goes on before we send them out such as the hand polishing of these small charms which isn’t easy as some of you will know. I’m just in the process of making pearl necklaces with these charms, It’s amazing how many ideas you can make out of one design but they will be for another day. OK so it has only taken me a few hours to write these few words! But I’m happy I got it finished today lol so I’m off to play Indiana Jones with the little one, Till the next blog.

Well here we are again! I actually started writing this blog a couple of weeks ago when the kids were off on half term but that’s what happens when the kids are off, Yes that’s right nothing!, Although we did have a great super Mario games week but the blog got well forgotten. Right so onto our new product, This is new ground for us as this is our first necklace for men and its even personalised!  Making  jewellery for guys is really difficult, it just is, I should know I  am one.  Well I love wearing mine and I like to think I have good taste in fashion in general so I like to think a few others will share my views and maybe buy one.   We really wanted to design something a little different from the rest, so the Personalized Secret Message Triangle was born! Now it starts off the same as the Secret Heart and the Teardrop necklaces in that we etch the text onto sterling silver sheet which is 0.7mm thick and cut it out and then the hard work begins! We firstly have to drill the holes and then shape the silver into a triangle, we can sometimes be easier said than done as if you don’t get the measurements and bends accurate the first time round, you can end up with a rather wonky triangle!  So once it’s a nice even, straight triangle shape, we solder the ends and then file them to make the join invisible.  Then onto the rather boring, but critical, filing and hand polishing to achieve  a beautiful shine and then into the tumbler for a few hours to harden it up.  Again it may look and sound simple but a lot of time and hard work goes into making one of these fine necklaces. It actually gets better as you have ten fonts yes that’s right ten fonts to choose from. So if your looking for a unique present this Christmas for the man in your life then why not give them a wonderful personal keepsake. Oh nearly forgot you can have it on Greek leather cord or a sterling silver chain. Brrr! it’s getting a bit chilly now, The days just seem to go really quick at the moment. So busy working on a couple of designs that should be finished soon I hope! But in the meantime we have our new Sterling Silver Love Hearts Necklace to show you all and have a little blog about it. Now this necklace is part of a range we have, We had already made the single heart  and the three heart necklaces. I have no idea why we made them in this order but that’s just us I guess. Anyway,  So we decided on the size of the joined hearts, Just like to point out that because we make our own jewellery we can make the size bigger or smaller if required, OK sales pitch over! So we have our size and not forgetting the shape as we all know hearts come in many shapes, We went for a more traditional one. Once we have cut the heart shape we engrave the two hearts with the initials of the loving couple, Then a  polish, clean and a tumble and bang! there we have it, A beautiful shiny necklace for the lucky girl/women to wear, Well it isn’t that easy for such a small piece a lot of hard work goes into it. The one thing I really like about this heart is that instead of making it with a loop for the necklace to go through we made a simple but very effective decision to just drill a hole at the far upper corner of each heart so that it sits high and visible against your skin. This makes a lovely gift for such occasions as Weddings, Anniversary’s, and Valentine’s Day, Such a sweet and cute necklace that’s very unique which will sure to have people staring at you so don’t get paranoid it’s probably just our lovely necklace! So here we are again, Monday night or should I say late Monday night in fact its nearly Tuesday probably will be by the time I’ve waffled on and finished this post, The start of another productive week well fingers crossed anyway. Well it was my son’s 4th birthday today and it has been Scooby Doo all day long although  I’m not complaining as I do like the old Scoob cartoons. So now that he’s nodded off I get to do some more work, “Yes” as you can imagine I’m jumping for joy! Who I’m I kidding I love talking about new pieces of jewellery I’ve made and I really love this Sterling Silver Coin Pearl bracelet which due to the design some people call a “Sweetie Bracelet” and to be honest it sure does look good enough to eat I must say. I love designing romantic feminine jewellery and at the end of making this one it made me smile because it turned out better then the image I had in my head. The focal point of this bracelet is a huge 15mm freshwater coin pearl, Very round in shape also very smooth and a vibrant glow to go. Coin pearls of this quality are really hard to find so I had to make something nice with them didn’t I. Around the coin I made a cluster of mixed round freshwater pearls from 2.5mm ones to 5mm, And amongst these I added a few Crystal Quartz rondelles for a little sparkle or two. I love the silver rings we use on our bracelets, Two jump rings soldered together to make a nice and shiny weighty bracelet, It’s nice to be IndiviJewel and different from everyone else who makes similar jewellery with the same components, It just gives it a unique look which is what we are all about. Now the heart toggle I have used lately I think I’m going to use this on quite a few of my designs as it is really good quality, Nice and sturdy and a lovely stand out component on its own. Now when I make bracelets I always like to add something near the toggle, I just think it looks classy and if you use the right component can make your jewellery have a nice contrast like I’ve done with this bracelet. I have used a very beautiful and big grapefruit quartz fat pear, I’m I allowed to say that or will I get told off by the PC brigade, Anyway it breaks the bracelet up and gives it a bit of razzmatazz, No idea why that word popped into my head, Must be watching all those retro cartoons earlier! Now on this bracelet I’ve used a heart charm which I’ve used before and will in the future due to its intricate detail which makes it such a cute little charm which I adore and think everyone else would as well. So that about completes the story of this bracelet, Like my last silver rings bracelet the Angel wing  I will be making necklaces to go with but trying to work on the designs at the moment because these are heavy bracelets if I made the necklaces the same your head would be bouncing off the pavement! Which wouldn’t look classy now would it. Now to look at the bracelet you automatically think wedding but like all the jewellery we design and make we do try to make it so that you can wear it with most things from T-shirt and jeans to business clothes to even a wedding maybe there’s a thought!. The design of this bracelet is to be a stand out piece without being over the top hideous “Look at me” which I think we achieved because when your wearing this your wrist will get looked at and you might even get asked where you got it from so please do tell them!, It’s so much better to see in the flesh this bracelet than the photo’s show, Even though the pics are good it doesn’t do the bracelet justice, It’s one of those where its just so alluring and desirable when looking at it that if you had one you wouldn’t want to take it off, If I was a women I know I wouldn’t! At the end of the day it’s the quality of components that make this bracelet look the way it does, You can have a great design but if you don’t have equally as good materials then it won’t work, All the materials used on this bracelet are really high quality so as you can see by this blog I’m happy so I’m off to bed now, See yer next time if you have a minute or two to spare.

Well what a right dreary day I woke up to this morning, Typical as I’m just building the kids a playhouse! So today’s big news I see is we are all one big happy Island nation again (Sarcasm) OK so I’m beginning to get my routine back now I have a clear path of where we need to be. So lets waffle on about our new Rose Gold Necklace Now I’ve probably said it numerous times in previous blogs but we have got new design’s for the “Birds Nest” range and we still intend to make them but we have conjured up a alternative style, Something a little different. Now it may appear to be a simple design but until you have tried to hand wrap one its a lot trickier than it looks. OK what is simple is to describe how we made it, So we hand wrapped the Rose Gold into an oval shape but we like to be a bit more dramatic and call it a “Tornado or Whirlwind” shape, Now this necklace is all about the shape because it narrows on both sides you have to be as close as possible or it would just look like spaghetti junction! And that about concludes your lesson on how to make one, Please I know I’m just to good to you all. Rose Gold seems to be the trend at the moment so we thought we would join in too, This being the first design of a few I hope so need to get my pencil and pad out and get cracking with some others. Well here we are, Autumn creeping upon us again, Dark nights closing in so its just as well we are here to brighten you up with some colourful sparkling jewellery. Our latest piece is a heavy weight Sterling silver rings bracelet, Some people may call it a sweetie bracelet and it does look good enough to eat, BOOM BOOM! come on that’s really good for me. As you know we have so many new designs just waiting to be made, Ive had this idea for sometime and now the new website is up and running (Nearly) we want to add non-personalised pieces as well as personalised as not everyone wants something with text on although any of our designs can be personalised due to making them ourselves so if you like the design but want it personalised then just let us know. OK so I have to say I love this design it just has everything a piece of jewellery should have, Sparkle, colour, elegance, quality and just all round desirable.  So first of all we start with a sterling silver belcher chain, This is a heavy piece so needs to have a solid base. We then have the sterling silver rings which are two jump rings soldered into one to make a unique look. Now for the main cluster of charms we have the sterling silver Angel wings charm with the little gold vermeil  heart that makes a great contrast. Next we have the sparkling gemstones, On one side we have a lilac Amethyst briolette pear drop and on the other we have a London blue Topaz briolette pear drop which is equally dazzling and to add more contrast we added a freshwater round pearl. To finish the bracelet off we used a lovely heart toggle and on the heart toggle side we added a couple of more charms, One is a very hard to find coin pearl which has a great shape and luster to it and the other is a very cute heart which has two different sized hearts inside the main one making it a very intricate charm. Overall this is lovely bracelet that can be worn from day to day or for a special occasion such as a wedding, Again this design is unique to IndiviJewels so you can only purchase it from us and you sure will receive great comments and asked where you bought it from, So why be like all the rest be IndiviJewel!

Well here we are at our new home, Its been some journey but here at last can’t tell you how glad to have this off our work load! We can get to work filling the site with our new pieces of jewellery. We had a big input into how it turned out and are very happy and very pleased with the end product, We wanted it to be vintage in its looks but have some life to It, Like a new retro – Vibrant, Colourful but at the same time it still has the vintage look and feel to it which we were looking for. Now comes the hard and boring part moving across all our products and having to photograph new pictures for this website! We hope our customers have a great experience looking on the new IndiviJewels and its ease of use. So here’s a big thanks to Peter at c2  for having the patience in dealing with us. Now for our first post about what we have made I would like to add this love story, We had a customer from Australia contact us about making her partner a pair of initial oval cufflinks. The story behind it goes like this – They met in Europe but only after they had bumped into each other in three cities – London, Lucerne and Mykonos without actually realizing it until they met afterwards. We were chosen to make a treasured keepsake for the man in her life to remember those days with an anniversary gift. We hope when he puts them on he smiles and remembers the happy memories. We just love the stories behind our jewellery because its not just a business for us its about your stories.
